This tour will take you from Dumaguete to Bais, and out to the Tañon Strait, where you can enjoy watching Spinner and Bottlenose Dolphins frolicking in the water and, if you're lucky, Whales too.

The dolphins and whales are attracted to this area due to the large numbers of squid found in this 3000ft deep strait, and various species of dolphins can be found, swimming in large pods, but whale sightings do tend to be a lot rarer.

Afterwards you will sail on to the pristine white sands of the Campuyo Sandbar, take lunch on board your boat and finish your tour with a visit to the Talabong Bird Sanctuary and Mangrove Park; a 400 hectare Mangrove forest, before returning to Dumaguete

This Tour is a Seasonal Tour with the best chances of seeing Dolphins between April-December

Bais is located 45kms from Dumaguete; a 45 minute to one hour journey. The shoreline of Bais is mostly given over to Mangroves, although these are under threat, and it is because of these mangroves that the waters around Bais are teeming with such a rich variety of marine life.

Tourism wise many visitors visit Bais primarily to see it's Dolphin and Pygmy Sperm Whale populations which can be found in the Tañon Strait

Bais has also be a thriving area for sugar plantations and there is a strong local history to be learned about the area.  Even today Bais is the largest producer of raw sugar in Negros Oriental.

Campuyo Sandbar - this long stretch of powdery, white sand appears at low tide and is surrounded by crystal clear water, which is ideal for paddling and swimming.

The Talabong Bird Sanctuary and Mangrove Park is a 400-hectare protected Mangrove Forest, accessible by boat at high tide.  Visitors are required to walk along a bamboo walkway to reach the park. The Mangrove Forest is a haven for many bird, mammal and plant species and provide good nesting areas, so ensure that you listen to your guide about where you can go to avoid damage or causing alarm.
