Rudolph Weih, former engineer from Germany, decided to quit his job and go on an exciting 8 month journey around Palawan. When he arrived in Busuanga Island, he saw its potential for tourism and decided to start up a business.
In 1992, he established Kokosnuss Garden Resort and Restaurant, which was only made up of 4 cottages and a small restaurant. He was definitely on to something good, as eventually tourism on the island boomed. Today Kokosnuss has 24 cottages in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines.
