Throughout the tour, your tour guide will shine a flashlight on the many stalagmite and stalactite formations within the cave, some of which have grown to extremely large proportions over centuries. It is simply spectacular how the formations can resemble many things; you are encouraged to bring your imagination. It is also one of the most important conservation efforts in the country.

From the pick-up location, a van will take you to Sabang, about two hours from the Puerto Princesa city proper. Along the way you will be shown many other popular natural attractions of Palawan. Upon arrival in Sabang, one's turn at the underground river is on a first-come-first-serve basis, so it is highly recommended to depart the city as early as possible. After the tour, you will be taken back to Puerto Princesa.
