Next Trek Date: April 14 & May 12 ONLY LIMITED SLOTS LEFT!!

This 1-day Trek is ideal for beginners, listed as 2/10 in terms of difficulty and just a 2.5 hour walk from the drop-off point to Mt Pinatubo's Lake Crater.  The walking is mostly on flat land, rather than hill climbs.  When the Skyway is available, this can also be used to enable longer time at the Crater.

This volcano and crater lake are truly one of the Philippines brightest Gems!

After registration trekkers will take their seats for an exciting 4x4 Jeepney ride, lasting 1.5 hours, through Crow Valley, a previous USA gunnery and bombing range, with views reminiscent of the moons surface, and areas of stunning Lahar formations; a landscape which continuously changes.

If the Skyway is open your trek will be reduced to just 30 minutes, otherwise the trek will take 2 hours, through a lahar gouge with a small river and a number of river crossings (be prepared for your feet to get wet).

Once at the crater there will be time for trekkers to take in the views, enjoy lunch and take photos. It may be possible to swim or go boating but regulations around this are changeable and controlled by the local authorities not the tour operator.

After lunch trekkers will begin the descent back to the jump-off point, where showers are available for a freshen up and change of clothing, before the journey home.

This trek may include the option to stop by the Capas Shrine; a memorial to Allied soldiers who died at Camp O'Donnell, at the end of the Bataan Death March during World War II.  There may also be an option to stop for a celebratory meal together, before heading back to Manila, but this will be based on time and the majority rule of the trekkers.

Trek Inclusions:

  • Transportation via Private vehicle: Manila to Capas and back
  • 4x4 vehicle: Sta. Juliana to Mt.Pinatubo jump off
  • Processing fees
  • Registration, entrance fees, DENR fees and other applicable fees
  • Adventure Guide/Coordinator
  • Local Guide fees
  • Use of SKYWAY route by preference, or whenever available

Packed Lunch and Trail Snacks are not included in the price of this trek.

There is a rest room at both the jump-off point and at the Crater.

Mt Pinatubo is one of the most popular destinations in the Philippines; a volcano which last erupted in 1991, devastating the surrounding area and leaving crops and homes covered in Lahar; mud and debris flow, which cascaded down the volcano, which gives the area its unique look.
