Please arrive for 2.15am the latest, to ensure the registration process is completed quickly and the journey to Sierra Madre National Park, starts on time.  Late arrivals may cause delay to the trek and could be classed as a No-Show, with no refund applicable, if the van leaves on time and you are not on it.

Packed Lunch is included in this Trek, any other meals and snacks are at the Guests expense.  Please advise of any dietary requirements a minimum of 5 days before trek date.

Leaving Manila at 2.30am from McDonalds, El Pueblo, Ortigas, you can catch some Zzzz's in the Air-con van, and take a stop off for breakfast, before arriving at Sierra Madre National Park, Atimonan, Quezon.

You'll start the trek to Mt. Pinagbanderahan peak, which forms just part of the Philippines longest mountain ranges.  Mt. Pinagbanderahan is located in a conservation area, with centuries old trees and ecologically valuable plants, some of which are yet to be classified and listed.

Treks always have a ratio of 6 Guests to 1-2 experienced Guides

You will start your descent at 10.30am with the opportunity to pass through a cave/canyon and arriving at your lunch point at around 12 noon.  After a 45 minute break you will be taken to your start point for the trek to Bantakay Falls, arriving at the Falls at approximately 3.30pm.  Here you will have the opportunity to swim and take photos amongst the falls.

6.30pm you'll be back at the 'jump off' point for a quick shower and freshen up before your journey back to Manila, stopping en route for dinner.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made by Tour Operator

  • In the event of a Storm Signal, tours will automatically be cancelled. Guests will be advised on the Thursday prior to the trek, at the latest.

Cancellations made by guests

  • If a Cancellation is made 10 days prior to the Trek, guests can either substitute a friend to take their place or take a full refund
  • If Cancellation is made 9 days prior to the Trek Guests will be able to claim a 40% refund only.

Participant Guidelines

Things to bring:-

  • Booking Voucher
  • Completed and signed Waiver form (this will be sent with your Booking Voucher)
  • A good pair of trekking shoes, Cross Trainers or Running Shoes (flexible and good grip) & cotton socks (less likely to result in blisters)
  • Sunscreen, Sunglasses, Hat, Rain Coat
  • Swimming clothes
  • Mosquito Repellant
  • Water (2 Litres)
  • Rehydration fluids
  • Snacks (such as banana chips, nuts, gelatine-based sweets - salty snacks are not recommended )
  • Change of clothes & Slippers/flipflops
  • Toiletries & any Personal Medications needed
  • Packed lunch
  • Headlamp/ Flashlight
  • Extra plastic bags for rubbish
  • Camera/Waterproof phone
