The mystical island of Siquijor sits just off the coast of Negros Oriental and offers a coastline of 102kms of some of the finest white sand beaches, to rival even Boracay's infamous White Beach.  The Coral Reefs around the island also offer some of the best diving in the Philippines.

Siquijor Island & some of the Tour attractions

Siquijor Island is associated with mystical beliefs and practices, which likely stemmed from the Spanish Colonial Period when the island was called 'Island of Fire', due to the eerie glow from swarms of fireflies that used to gather on the island.

However, talk to a local and you may also be lucky enough to hear about some of the Island legends of withes and witchcraft.

Siquijor is well known for its Festivals, particularly those which focus on rituals and incantations to bring about healing, and the use of potions made from roots, herbs, tree bark and insects.

Capilay Spring Prk, San Juan - this is a Public Park with a pool area which is a combination of Natural and Man-made pools.  Fed by Mountain Springs, which cascade down to the Park, the pools have been concreted to slow down the flow of the water on its route to the sea.  The pools are surrounded by tall trees giving generous shade and there are little cottages dotted around which people, who are there for the whole day, can enjoy. There is also a little grotto set up on the hillside.  Guests are cautioned that the stones down in to the pool may be slippery; the pools are not treated or cholrinated and so the area may be slippery to walk on

Enchanted Balete tree - Take in a visit to the oldest, and biggest, Balete Tree which is thought to be 400 years old and is believed to be enchanted. It is believed that Balete Trees are the homes to mystical beings, such as the 'Kapre' and 'Tikbalang'.  The Balete Tree is also used in natural medicine to heal wounds, skin conditions and expel parasitic worms.

There is a natural spring that comes up through this trees roots and which collects in a man-made pool.  The massive canopy of this tree stretches across a pool, providing shade and adding to the atmosphere.  Whilst there, have a foot spa from the aptly named Doctor Fish.  Sit back, slip your feet in the spring pool, which surrounds the tree roots, and have the fish tidy up your feet for you (it feels a bit like putting your feet in a bowl of Mountain Dew) whilst sipping on some fresh coconut, which is available for you to purchase.

San Isidro Labrador Church - Was established in 1857 and its unique in its architecture, looking not unlike a huge American Barn, with a bell tower to one side. Decorated in the Baroque style, this church has been put forward to UNESCO to be listed as a World Heritage Site.  The National Historical Institute has also listed this church, and its convent, as one of significant Religious, Historic and Cultural importance.

Cambuhagay Waterfalls - After a bit of a walk down some (about 150) steps you will find it hard to hold yourself back from jumping straight in to the pool. Enjoy a refreshing swim, take in the beauty of the waterfalls, jump from the rocks or swing from ropes in to the pools. Feel your heart in your throat as you watch the locals doing death defying jumps and somersaults from great heights.

Salagdoon Beach - offers stunning crystal-clear waters, 20ft platforms for cliff jumping and a slide straight in to the water.  The sand is soft and white but the area is rocky.  The beach has a restaurant and also offers kayak rental (neither included in the tour price)
